A prescribed medicated mouth rinse should be used twice daily for two weeks to keep the surgical area clean and promote healing.
Do not use a toothbrush or water flosser during the first two weeks, as the tissues need time to heal undisturbed.
After two weeks, you may begin using a water pick on the lowest setting, as directed by your dentist.
Stick to soft foods for the first several days, then slowly reintroduce firmer textures as comfort allows.
